The overnight figures for Doctor Who on Christmas Day have been released showing that The Snowmen had an overnight viewing figure of 7.59m , with an A.I figure of 87.
TARDIS Interior - Revealed
The BBC have released the first picture of the redesigned TARDIS interior, which will premiere in the Christmas Special The Snowmen on Christmas Day.

The BBC have released more publicity photos from this years Christmas special The Snowmen. Also they have revealed a tantalising glimpse of the redesigned TARDIS interior, designed by production designer Michael Pickwoad, which will debut this Christmas.
The Radio Times has confirmed that Sir Ian McKellan will be voicing the Snowmen.

The BBC have confirmed the transmission time as 5.15pm Christmas Day for this years special entitled The Snowmen.

I've got a whole new Christmassy outfit and the best hat! A bit Artful Dodger meets the Doctor. There's a lot of purple this year, which is nice. I've always wanted something purple but they were always reluctant. It's taken three years to get a jaunty hat and a purple coat!

My character is an archetypal Victorian gentleman, a repressed, Establishment-type chap who is distant from his children and can't communicate with women. I couldn't resist him as he's so well written - besides a part in a Doctor Who Christmas Special was just too good an opportunity to pass up!

The Snowmen - Synopsis
Christmas Eve 1892 and the falling snow is the stuff of fairy-tales. When the fairy-tale becomes a nightmare and a chilling menace threatens Earth, an unorthodox young governess, Clara, calls on the Doctor for help. But the Doctor is in mourning, reclusive and determined not to engage in the problems of the universe. As old friends return, will the Doctor really abandon humankind or will he fight to save the world – and Christmas – from the icy clutches of this mysterious menace.
