50th Anniversary Event
BBC Worldwide have announced a three day event to coincide with the 50th anniversary in November. Amanda Hill from Worldwide has said:
Generations of fans young and old have been captivated by the Doctor and we’ve seen Doctor Who go from strength to strength, enjoying something of a global march over the past few years attracting new followers from Turkey to Brazil to South Korea. This year long celebration is an opportunity for fans around the world to come together and celebrate the glorious past, present and future of Doctor Who.

Project Motor House
It has been revealed that former companion Janet Fielding is battling cancer, although nothing else is known about her condition.
Janet is the project co-ordinator of Project Motor House in Thanet, more details can be found here.

Norwich Con
This Sunday sees the third Norwich Con convention. Click on the link to find out the up to date guest list. Unfortunately Sylvester McCoy, Terry Molloy and James Moran have had to pull out due to work commitments.

With BBC Worldwide revealing a 19% increase in return, some Who related information has come to light.
Nearly a quarter of a million visited the Doctor Who Experience in London. (The Experience opens at its new home this Friday in Cardiff)

David Tennant - Convention
Tenth Doctor David Tennant is to appear at his first convention this year at Midnight in Birmingham (14-16 Dec)
Series 7 Rumours
At last weekends 11th Hour convention Matt Smith fuelled speculation that the Ice Warriors were returning, when questioned, he gave a knowing glance and smile. Matt Smith confirmed that he has read the script for this years Christmas special.

Billie Piper
Billie Piper is to make her convention debut later this year at Midnight which starts 30th Nov for 3 days at The Hilton Birmingham Metropole. Tickets are available here.

One of the largest line ups of living Doctors took to the stage at last weekend Collectormania 18 in Milton Keynes.
Doctor Who Convention
More names have confirmed attendance at the first official Doctor Who Convention. Mark Sheppard, Ian McNeice & Raquel Cassidy will be joining the likes of Matt Smith, Arthur Darvill, Stuart Milligan, Nicholas Briggs, Barnaby Edwards and Simon Fisher-Beck. More details can be found here.

TARDIS Tour
Attendees of the upcoming official Doctor Who Convention, have the chance to visit the actual TARDIS set used by Matt Smith as the 11th Doctor. Spaces are limited, more information can be found here on the official Convention Site.
BBC Doctor Who Convention
BBC Worldwide have announced an official convention to be held at the Millennium Centre in Cardiff on 24th & 25th March 2012. Amongst the attendees are Steven Moffat, Matt Smith, Danny Hargreaves, Michael Pickwoad & Marcus Wilson. 1500 tickets for each day will be available.
The unique interactive programme will include theatre sessions and Q&As with cast and crew; behind the scenes sessions show-casing the script to screen process; discussions with episode directors and writers and demonstrations from Special FX and prosthetics experts that will illustrate the challenges and scale of their work on the world’s longest running sci-fi show. Autograph and photo opportunities will also be available with attending cast members and there will be official Doctor Who merchandise and collectables on sale.
