Concert Announced.



After the success of the concert in Melbourne earlier this year another is to be held at the Sydney Opera house over 15-16th December 2012. Tickets go on sale 24th September. Further details can be found here.

BBC Worldwide

With BBC Worldwide revealing a 19% increase in return, some Who related information has come to light.

Nearly a quarter of a million visited the Doctor Who Experience in London. (The Experience opens at its new home this Friday in Cardiff)

3,000 people attended the first official convention in Cardiff earlier this year.

The Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular which premiered  in Melbourne this year, will tour globally later on.

The BBC's top programmes include Doctor Who, Sherlock, Top Gear, Planet Earth, Natural World, Spooks & Frozen Planet.

New Companion

Tomorrow morning (9am) via their twitter feed, the BBC will announce who the new companion will be. Reportedly the person is a household name. News on the recent concert in Cardiff can be read here.

Today saw two performances by The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra under the leadership of conductor Ben Foster with Murray Gold on piano. The sold out event was presented by Mark Sheppard. The Press release is below.

A musical celebration with the Doctor on the big screen and a host of live monsters including Daleks, Cybermen and The Silence invading the venue. Inspired by the BBC Doctor Who Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Ben Foster, will premiere Murray Gold's amazing music from the last two seasons of the legendary BBC series.
