According to this weeks Radio Times, Neil Gaiman's script The Last Cyberman has had a title change to Nightmare in Silver. The series finale has yet to be announced, but will see the return of River Song.

The Last Cyberman - Title Confirmed.

Neil Gaiman has confirmed in a magazine interview, the title of his story for Series 7, when it returns in March, currently this story is the penultimate episode.

"The episode is called The Last Cyberman. It’s about identity, it’s about responsibility and it’s about porridge.”

Episode Thirteen Title?

A read through script has been left in a taxi, the script is for Neil Gaiman's penultimate episode and could be entitled 'The Last Cyberman'

Location filming continues on this story and witnesses have said that the Cybermen have been redesigned slightly.

(please note that we are numbering this series as though the Christmas special is included in the run of episodes)

Series 7 Episode 13 details.

The BBC have confirmed that the penultimate episode of series 7, written by Neil Gaiman, is to feature the return of the Cybermen.

Joining Tamzin Outhwaite in this episode is Warwick Davies and Jason Watkins, neither of them are strangers to the genre.

Award Winner

Writer Neil Gaimen won a Hugo award last night for his series 6 story The Doctors Wife in the Best Dramatic Short Form category.

During his acceptance speech Neil said he was indeed writing another script.
"Only a fool or a mad man would try to do it again . . . so I'm on the third draft."

The Doctor's Wife has won the Ray Bradbury award for Outstanding Dramatic Presentation at the Nebula Awards. The episode was written by Neil Gaiman and directed by Richard Clark.

Episode 4 - Title


It has been confirmed by SFX magazine that Neil Gaiman's episode four is entitled The Doctor's Wife.

Series 6 Update


Actor Paul Bentley will play the Professor in one of these episodes.

Richard Senior will direct the final block of Series 6.

Neil Gaiman has tweeted that he has seen and enjoyed his episode.

Monday Update


Confirmed by Writer Neil Gaimen - Actor Michael Sheen is to appear in episode 4 as a voice over. Sheen has had numerous parts on tv and film, including playing Tony Blair and in the film Frost & Nixon.

Series 6 update

We're back and what a difference a couple of days make. The story running order of series 6 has changed.
Steve Thompson (sherlock) is now writing episode 3.
Neil Gaimans episode 3 is now episode 4.
Mark Gatiss' episode 4 is now reportedly episode 9.

Series 6 - Update

A rumour circulating the internet is that Neil Gaimans episode is entitled 'House' or 'The House'. We await confirmation on this rumour.

The Channel 5 series of K9 has finished its run on British TV.

DWM issue 428 has revealed that in A Christmas Carol Rory and Amy will be orbiting an alien planet on a pleasure cruise spaceship when it finds itself under attack from something very nasty, while the Doctor has a lot to deal with on the planet below to save the spaceship.

In Neil Gaiman’s episode three , the TARDIS breaks down on an alien junkyard world. “Although Idris is preparing for death as the story begins, she doesn’t actually die. By the time the Doctor and friends meet her she’s gone mad and ends up biting the Time Lord …”

According to his twitter Director Richard Clark is getting an edit ready for the execs this weekend and has positive feedback from Neil Gaiman.

Thursday update


Welcome to Thursday and the release of another issue of DWM. Mentioned within are little snippets of info. Neil Gaiman writes the production notes this month speculating on budgetary costs on Aunties arm.


The Editor states he's been to the first BBC meeting to discuss the 50th anniversary celebrations and Steven Moffat muses on the idea, that we know what the fourth story is entitled.

Tuesday update

Another piece of casting news for the Christmas special, Tim Plester will play the Chief Servant.

Neil Gaiman has been hinting at episode 3, while at the New Yorker festival.

He said that Surrane Jones’ character Idris “may be an old friend of the Doctor’s with a new face,”
And that “At one point I take up a plot point from an old episode called The War Games"
