Pond Life
The series is proceeded by an online mini adventure on the official site, which runs daily from Monday 27th August. A new segment will appear each day around midday, culminating in all the episodes being available via the red button feature on Saturday 1st September. Featuring Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill, the story is written by Chris Chibnall.
Series Producer Caroline Skinner says:
‘Chris has written a beautiful, heartfelt and wickedly funny piece about the adventures the Ponds have been having with the Doctor since we last saw them on-screen. It’s not long till the series itself will be back with a vengeance – but in the meantime, Pond Life is a truly heart-warming piece about our best-loved companions and their madcap relationship with their raggedy Doctor.’
Chris Chibnall says:
Pond Life provides us with a lovely opportunity to catch-up with Amy and Rory since we saw them at the end of the last series. It opens with the Ponds at home and gives us an insight in to just what happens when the Doctor drops in and out of their lives. Travelling with the Doctor is one of the greatest things you can do, but it's fun to spend a few moments looking at the chaos he can also bring.

BFI Preview Screening
The BFI have announced that Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill, Caroline Skinner and Steven Moffat will attend the preview screening of Asylum of the Daleks on Tuesday 14th August. After the screening there will be a Q&A session chaired by Richard Bacon.

The nominees for the annual Portal awards have been announced.
Matt Smith is nominated for Best Actor
Karen Gillan for Best Actress
Alex Kingston for Best Special Guest
Arthur Darvill for Best Supporting Actor
Doctor Who is nominated for Best Series
Both Elisabeth Sladen and Steven Moffat are nominated for the Gene Roddenbury Award this year.
Amy and Rory Return
Amy and Rory return - but only for pick up interior shots for their last episode at Bute Esplanade. The scenes were filmed at their house, while Matt Smith was also on hand filming pick ups for episode four.
More Farewells
Friday saw the last day of filming, as previously posted, for Arthur Darvill and Karen Gillan, the latter tweeted "And that's a wrap! Bye bye from the ponds. We love you."
The day also said a goodbye to the BBC's Upper Boat studios, which has been the home for Doctor Who, Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures. This was the first BBC studio complex to be dedicated to drama.
Production now moves over to the new purpose built studios at Roath Lock.
A Pond Farewell
Yesterday was the last filming day for Chris Chibnall's episode four and the last one to for (as far as we know) Amy & Rory, though their leaving episode has already been filmed.
Filming should commence soon on this years Christmas Special which will introduce Jenna-Louise Coleman as the yet unnamed new companion. Keep your eyes open in the papers the next few weeks.

Monday Update
Filming has started on episode four of series 7, which will be the last one for Karen and Arthur, although not their final televised adventure.

DVD Launch
Matt Smith, Karen Gillan & Arthur Darvill will be at the Westfield Shopping centre at Stratford London on Monday for the launch of the complete series 6 DVD boxset. The first 250 people at the HMV store will receive wristbands to gain access, after the signing there will be a short Q&A session
