Steven Moffat has mentioned that he has written several dummy endings to episode 7, which is currently being filmed, so to avoid the cliff hanger ending from being disclosed.
Episode 3 by Steve Thompson is also being filmed in this recording block.
Rumour has it that an old enemy is returning in one or both of these episodes.
