2013 Docudrama?
Rumours are spreading that the BBC are creating a docudrama around the genesis of Doctor Who. A recent job ad adds fuel to the rumours. See below.
“You will be producing high-quality, cost-effective drama and will be accountable for the delivery of the drama on time and within the agreed editorial brief and production budget. One of your main responsibilities will be to help develop the script to the highest standards as well as encouraging, fostering and developing creative talent and ability on behalf of the Drama Department.
You will need drama-producing experience. A passion for drama and a knowledge of Doctor Who is essential.
Ideally the successful candidate will have a wide-ranging knowledge of the television drama production processes, preferably including period drama and use of CGI, and an understanding of the jobs of programme and resource personnel who are engaged to complete the production.”

Peter Davison on 2013
Recently 5th Doctor Peter Davison talked about the possibility of a return to the series to mark the 50th anniversary in 2013.
"I feel no need to turn my back on it, but I don't feel like it's the kind of thing they'd do. I'd be very surprised if they tried to do anything involving the old Doctors because it always takes a slight stretch of the imagination anyway to figure out why the previous Doctors look older - but I'm sure that can be done. But at the same time I'm not sort of longing on it. I'm perfectly happy to have played my part to go back to 'Time Crash'. I don't feel like I'm hanging on a phone call from the 'Doctor Who' offices saying let's do something special."

Hints on 50th Anniversary
In the recent published The Brilliant Book of Doctor Who 2012, Steven Moffat has hinted at the 50th anniversary in 2013.
"Epic, huge, massive, indulgent... all your treats at once. The BBC is committed to the 50th anniversary, everyone is committed to it... and I guarantee you it's going to be the best year ever to be a Doctor Who fan. We're going to be in production for longer than ever, just to do everything that we intend to do".
Wednesday update
K9 - The Series - is to get its terrestrial broadcast on Channel 5 on Saturday 18th December at 10am.
Peter Hoar, is to direct a 60 minute Easter special according to reports. This could indeed be Episode 7 or is it something previously unknown. Only time will tell.
Toby Whithouse is to write for Series 6, although no details are known as yet.
It has been reported widely that Seventh Doctor Sylvester McCoy is keen for a multi doctor reunion to celebrate the golden anniversary in 2013.
He has been said to say, that the missing doctors could be brought back to life, by the use of CGI.
Thursday update
Welcome to Thursday and the release of another issue of DWM. Mentioned within are little snippets of info. Neil Gaiman writes the production notes this month speculating on budgetary costs on Aunties arm.
The Editor states he's been to the first BBC meeting to discuss the 50th anniversary celebrations and Steven Moffat muses on the idea, that we know what the fourth story is entitled.
